Corporate M&ARoberto Cugnasco graduated summa cum laude from the University of Bologna, obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Yale Law School in 2014 and holds a PhD in Business Law (University of Rome Tor Vergata). After his first years of practice in Bologna, he was part of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton from 2016 to 2024, working in both the Milan and New York offices. He joined Studio Orsingher Ortu – Avvocati Associati in January 2025. Roberto’s practice focuses on corporate, commercial and capital markets law. In particular, he assists Italian and international clients in domestic and cross-border industrial M&A and private equity transactions, corporate and corporate governance advice and commercial contracts. Roberto was an assistant professor of commercial law at the University of Bologna, editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation and author of publications on corporate law. He has been an attorney since 2013 and a member of the New York Bar since 2022. He is fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of French.
