OOAA with IMCD Italy for Gender Equality Certification

Orsingher Ortu – Avvocati Associati has assisted IMCD Italia S.p.A., part of the IMCD Group, world leader in the sale and distribution of speciality chemicals and ingredients, in obtaining gender equality certification.

The team of Orsingher Ortu – Avvocati Associati, led by Alessandro De Palma and including Marina Sartor and Alice Viganò, provided advice and assistance from the very beginning of the process. In particular, the firm carried out an internal due diligence exercise aimed at identifying the employees involved in the process, verifying the potential achievement of each of the KPIs in the six areas of investigation, and conducting a preliminary analysis of the existing gender equality policies, procedures and practices within the company.

Following the preliminary assessment, and in close collaboration with the client, the firm provided advice and assistance in organising and collecting all internal documentation to certify the client’s work in the area of gender equality for specific targets in line with the corporate culture, and in reviewing and drafting policies and procedures to promote gender equality. Finally, it provided support in the planning of further activities required by the UNI/PdR 125:2022 reference practice.

With this operation, Orsingher Ortu – Avvocati Associati, which obtained the Gender Equality Certification in June 2023, reaffirms its commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion issues within its client companies and supporting them on their path of adaptation.

We are convinced that certification is the necessary stimulus to trigger a process of cultural change in organisations, encouraging more and more companies, and in particular law firms, to adopt more inclusive practices. – said Alessandro De Palma, senior partner in the labour law department of Orsingher Ortu – Avvocati Associati.

The Gender Equality Project has been underway at IMCD Italy for several years, and being recognised by an external body is an important milestone for us, which we share with the entire organisation, which works daily to promote an inclusive environment and ensure equal opportunities. – said Giulia Bedini, HR Manager of IMCD Italy.
