Your writing style or approach to writing for Our Echo:

Being part of the Our Echo team has allowed me to combine writing, which has always been a passion of mine, with my chosen career. When writing for Our Echo, the aim is to provide readers with the highlights of the most important decisions or changes in patent law, trying to make them easy to understand and focusing on the aspects that are of most interest to practitioners in terms of their impact on their business.

The most interesting article you have written:

The most interesting article I have written is this news (Artificial Intelligence is not an inventor according to the EPO). Over the past few years, AI has raised several questions about its compatibility with patent law, and this issue has caught my attention as a patent attorney. Prior to the EPO’s decision, it was mainly patent scholars at the EU level who commented on the issue – with differing opinions – but there were no court decisions. It was interesting to analyse the position of the Board of Appeal and compare it with that of other patent offices around the world, which have come to different conclusions when examining the same patent application.

What is your goal for the newsletter over the next 100 issues?

The goal for the newsletter over the next 100 issues is to increasingly engage the readers of Our Echo in patent matters and to provide them with useful insights into the most important issues raised by the courts or the patent offices that may be of interest to clients and have an impact on their business.
