INDUSTRIES, TECHNOLOGY | Registration to ACN Portal Now Available

Starting from December 1, 2024, the Agency for National Cybersecurity (ACN) has published detailed guidelines for entities required to register on its platform, in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 138/2024 (“Decree”) implementing the NIS 2 Directive. Notably, entities must (a) authenticate through the Public Digital Identity System (SPID) or alternative forms of authentication admitted by the Decree; (b) submit all relevant data, including details regarding the fields in which the entity operates, financial metrics and compliance information; (c) designate a person responsible for managing communications with the ACN. The registration process shall be completed by February 28, 2025. Foreign entities located outside the European Economic Area offering services in Italy must also appoint a local EU Representative and complete registration on the ACN platform.
