INDUSTRIES, PUBLIC PROCUREMENT | The “corrective” decree of the Public Contracts Code published in the Official Gazette

On 31 December 2024, Decree Law No. 209/2024 (the “corrective” decree of the Public Contracts Code) was published in Official Gazette of the Italian Republic No. 305. The revision focuses on the following ten thematic areas (a) fair compensation; (b) labour protection; (c) digitisation; (d) qualification of contracting authorities; (e) price revision; (f) consortia; (g) protection of micro, small and medium enterprises; (h) executive phase of the procurement contract; (i) public private partnerships (in particular project finance); and (l) Technical Advisory Boards (Collegi Consultivi Tecnici). The new legal provisions entered into force on 31 December 2024.
