{"id":13422,"date":"2026-06-29T11:28:58","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T09:28:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/orsingher.com\/media-agcom-publishes-the-first-list-of-audiovisual-and-radio-services-of-general-interest-relevant-to-prominence-obligations\/"},"modified":"2026-06-29T11:29:12","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T09:29:12","slug":"media-agcom-publishes-the-first-list-of-audiovisual-and-radio-services-of-general-interest-relevant-to-prominence-obligations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orsingher.com\/en\/media-agcom-publishes-the-first-list-of-audiovisual-and-radio-services-of-general-interest-relevant-to-prominence-obligations\/","title":{"rendered":"MEDIA | AGCOM publishes the first list of audiovisual and radio Services of General Interest relevant to prominence obligations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 28 April 2026,\u00a0the Italian Communications Authority (<strong><em>AGCOM<\/em><\/strong>)\u00a0adopted\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.agcom.it\/sites\/default\/files\/provvedimenti\/delibera\/2026\/97_26_CONS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Resolution No. 97\/26\/CONS<\/a>\u00a0(the\u00a0<strong><em>Resolution<\/em><\/strong>),\u00a0publishing in\u00a0its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.agcom.it\/sites\/default\/files\/media\/allegato\/2026\/Allegato_97_26_CONS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Annex A<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0first\u00a0list of\u00a0national\u00a0audiovisual and radio services qualifying as\u00a0services of\u00a0general interest\u00a0(<strong><em>SGI<\/em><\/strong>).\u00a0The Resolution is intended to give practical effect to the framework established by AGCOM\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.agcom.it\/provvedimenti\/delibera-250-25-cons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Resolution No. 250\/25\/CONS<\/a>\u00a0on prominence obligations (the\u00a0<strong><em>New Prominence Regulation<\/em><\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Annex A groups the\u00a0SGI\u00a0eligible for prominent display\u00a0into eight categories:\u00a0five dedicated applications corresponding to the main national broadcasters\u00a0(RAI,\u00a0Mediaset,\u00a0La7,\u00a0Sky\u00a0and\u00a0Warner\u00a0Bros. Discovery),\u00a0together with\u00a0additional\u00a0three sections covering local television services, other national television services and radio services.\u00a0Annex A further clarifies that the relevant applications must be made available on\u00a0the\u00a0device home pages, while the aggregation applications relating to local television, national television and radio services are to be managed by\u00a0designated\u00a0intermediary aggregators.\u00a0SGI\u2019s\u00a0included in the list\u00a0of Annex A\u00a0are required to\u00a0notify AGCOM promptly of any changes affecting the information originally\u00a0submitted\u00a0in support of their inclusion.
