Massimiliano Pizzonia graduated with a law degree cum laude from the University of Pavia in 2014. He obtained an LL.M. in Competition Law (distinction) from King’s College London in  2019, with a thesis on the issue of selectivity in state aid. He worked at the Milan office of Greenberg Traurig Santa Maria, mainly in the areas of competition law, consumer protection and EU law. He also worked at the Brussels office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where he gained significant experience in merger control, and at the law firm Pedersoli Gattai (formerly Gattai, Minoli, Partners), where he advised national and international companies active in various sectors on competition, consumer protection and foreign investment control issues. He joined Orsingher Ortu – Avvocati Associati in 2024. He has been a member of the Milan Bar Association since 2017. He is fluent in English.
