Marco Consonni graduated with a law degree at the University of Milan in 1988. He worked for Frere Cholmeley Bishoff and, from 1995 to 1998, for Andersen Legal, becoming a partner of the firm in 1996. He has been a co-founder of the Milan branch of the firm Galgano and head of the TMT practice up to 2007 when the firm merged with Dewey & LeBoeuf where he has been responsible of the Italian IP/IT practice. In 2011 Marco and his group joined Orsingher Avvocati Associati sharing the project of a firm focussed on the TMT industries. For many years Marco has been active in the intellectual property, technology and media sectors, advising its clients – which include major international players – in a broad range of IT and IP related transactional matters such as licensing agreements, distributorship, content agreements and clearance, Internet and e-commerce strategy, JV arrangements and corporate transactions, investments and start-up, commercial contracts in general. His work is also related to commercial litigations especially for technology and communication companies. He was admitted to practice in 1992 and, since 2015, he has rights of appearance before the Italian Supreme Court. Marco speaks English, French and Spanish.
