Erica Benigni graduated cum laude in Law from the University of Trento in 2018, with an interdisciplinary thesis entitled “Access to high-cost innovative medicines: between right to health and sustainability of the Italian National Health Service”. In 2021, she completed a postgraduate diploma in “Law and Management of healthcare services, medicines regulation and medical devices” at the University of Roma Tre. She also attended the “European Pharma Law Academy 2023” at the University of Cambridge, Downing College. Erica worked as an Associate with law firms Portolano Cavallo and Franzosi Dal Negro Setti, mainly focusing on Life Science matters. She assists Italian and foreign clients on issues related to medicines, medical devices and other products such as food supplements. In particular, Erica provides legal advice, drafts opinions and agreements and deals with compliance and data protection issues in the healthcare sector; she also takes secondments in pharmaceutical companies. She is the author of several publications on life sciences for specialised magazines. In 2025, she joined the Orsingher Ortu – Avvocati Associati law firm. She is registered as a lawyer with the Rome Bar Association and speaks English fluently.
